Cyberia UP , TeDada Down

Don't find it strange, I wont pay 1300 JDs for 3 months subscription with 512 Kbps unlimited download .
After more than one year with Tedada I decided to change my ISP to Cyberia after they changed their plans to announce limitation policies with 3 GB / 7 GB, My father wondered "why we need more than 3 GB download for?!! " , I was curious so I called Tedada to know exactly what is my download history was, it was 31 GB for November ( it was exams period ), and 82GB for October. I told this information to my friend he called them also, his bandwidth was 95GB for November :) [may be we were the reason to change the policies ]
So, a subscription with 3GB limitation will be useless with like these statistics .

I think the best offer I found -IMHO- was Cyberia's one, after your 5GB you will be shared [the sharing here will be between 128Kbps and your spped] from 7am - 7pm and reset speed from 7pm - 7am and holidays.

Tedada have a Bad costumer care department, they erased my own email address - which have some important informations- on their domain since my account almost finish. and when called them they rudely said :"You have to pay 10 JDs to get it back" they remove it without any notifications or warnings and .

مطبات عمان

حسب آخر إحصائية صدرت عن لجنة أصدقاء المطبات والمنبثقة من جمعية "سيارة في مطب الريح" جاء فيها أن محافظة عمان احتلت المركز الأول على مستوى العالم من حيث عدد المطبات والحفر والدحديرات ويوجد في عمان أكثر من ستين مليون مطب بواقع ثلاثين مطب لكل مواطن "وإللي مش مصدق يروح يعد". وجاء في الأحصائية نبذة مختصرة لأنواع بعض المطبات الأثرية القديمة والعصرية الحديثة التي لاتوجد الا في محافظة عمان كالتالي :

المطب ا لإرتجاجي

وكان أول ظهور لهذا النوع في عام 1975م وهو مطب منتشر بشكل جيد على مساحات كبيرة من الشوارع أطلق عليه هذا الإسم لأنه يقوم برج السيارة بالكامل فلا يسلم منه رفرف ولا صدام ولا صامولة ولا مسمار. ويرجع الفضل في ظهور هذا النوع من المطبات الى كل من شركتي الإتصالات و الكهرباء ، وقد تم مؤخرا تبرئة مصلحة الصرف الصحي من أن يكون لها يد في ظهور هذا النوع من المطبات وذلك بعد التأكد والتيقن من أن مصلحة الصرف الصحي لم تقم بأي حفريات في محافظة عمان منذ سقوط الدولة العثمانية. ومن مميزات هذا المطب انه يقوم بإفاقة السائق السرحان وإيقاظ الراكب النعسان. وتُقاس شدة إرتجاجه بوحدة قياس ريختر واعلى درجة سجلت له اثنين وعشرين من تسعة.

المطب التكاثري أو التوالدي

وسمي بهذا الإسم لأنه يتكون من عدة مطبات تتوالد وتتكاثر أصلا من مطب واحد، ومن خواصة انه مطب إجتماعي يعيش في جماعات وقطعان "مطبية" بجانب بعضها البعض ويغطي مساحات شاسعة ، وهو المطب الوحيد الذي تصدر عنه رائحة كريهة داخل السيارة أثناء سيرها بسرعة عالية فوقه، ولسنين طويلة لم يستطع علماء المطبات ان يتعرفوا على سبب أو مصدر هذه الرائحة حتى توصلوا في عام 1985م الى تصور إفتراضي يفيد أن تلك الرائحة لها علاقة بنوعية طعام السائق والركاب ساعة دخولهم حقل المطب التوالدي.

مطب التفْليك أو المجهِض سابق

وعادة ما يوصي به أطباء النساء والولادة للسيدات الحوامل لما له من فاعلية في زيادة سرعة الطلق للسيدات الحوامل خصوصا في الشهر التاسع ، فيقوم الطبيب برسم كروكي خلف الروشتة لعدة أحياء يتواجد بها هذا النوع من المطبات على ان تتقيد السيدة الحامل بالتعليمات الطبية والمرور في هذه الأحياء كل ثماني ساعات لتسهيل عملية الولادة. وكان الإسم القديم للمطب (المجهِض) وتم تغيير اسمه الى التفليك وذلك تحسبا من إقامة أي دعوى قضائية ضد وزارة الصحة أو أمانة عمان أو وزارة الموصلات وان حدث أي إجهاض لاقدر الله لأي سيدة حامل فسوف تقوم جهات الإختصاص برد الدعوى القضائية بدعوى أن السائق او الزوج استعمل مطب خاطئ أو مطب منتهي الصلاحية ولم يتقيد بتعليمات الطبيب. (ويطلق عليه طبيا إسم )مطبومايسين(.

المطب العمّاني القديم

وهو من أقدم المطبات على الإطلاق ولا يوجد إلا في محافظة عمان فقط فعمره يقدر بألاف السنين ولا أحد يعرف نشأته أو وقت ظهوره ، وقد جاء في مخطوطة أثرية لأحد الرحالة العرب من الذين قدموا الى محافظة عمان أيام "السلط أولاً " وقد افرد صفحة كاملة لهذا المطب الأثري قال فيه :
"المطب العماني القديم لم أرى مثله أبدا فهو قادر على التخفي ، فمن قدراته أنه يتلون ويتأقلم حسب المحيط الذي يوجد به ، وهو يتكون عادة بفعل تراكم الأمطار ورطوبة القشرة الأرضية لعدم وجود شبكة صرف صحي" انتهى كلام الرحالة.
وبالفعل تظهر أعداد كبيرة من هذه المطبات بعد أن تجف الطرق من مياه الأمطار ، ويصنف المطب من ضمن اخطر عشر كوارث طبيعية في العالم وهو يحتل المركز الثالث بعد الزلازل والبراكين ، و هو لا يظهر للسائقين على صورة مطب فيعتقد السائق ان الطريق خالي من المطبات تماما وما ان تدخل السيارة حدود المطب ينشق فجأة ويبلع السيارة بالكامل في لمح البصر وبعد عملية البلع يرجع كما كان ويلتئم الشق الكبير ،وكأن شيئا لم يكن.
ويقال انه استعمل لأول مرة كسلاح فعال في الحرب العالمية الأولى لأصطياد الدببات الألمانية.

المطب الحراري الموجه

ومن اسمه يتضح للقارئ طريقة عمله فهو يتبع السيارة أينما ذهبت دون ملل أو كلل حتى "يلسعها" ومهما كان قائد السيارة "حريف سواقه" فهو لا يستطيع تفاديه. وظهر هذا النوع من المطبات مع دخول العالم القرن العشرين وهو يحتوي على تقنية عالية ويتواجد عادة في المخططات الجديدة وعمان الغربية ومن أسوء المطبات على الإطلاق تلك التي يصنعها المواطنين امام منازلهم وقد شددت الأمانة على عدم القيام بصناعة المطبات المنزلية من قبل أناس ليس لديهم الخبرة ولا الدراية بهذا العلم حيث ان علم المطبولوجي من اختصاص الأمانة فقط

Mother of all gaming machines emerges in UK

UK FIRM, VADIM Computers decided to make the mother of all gaming machines.
The firm put plugged two Geforce 8800 GTX cards, water-cooled, into an Asus P5N32-SLI Premium WiFi-AP (1066 FSB Conroe) board, powered with Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700 Extreme retail (4x2.66GHz 1066FSB 8Mb) and Patriot DDR2-1066 2x1024MB ELK series dual-channel kit memory.

The firm also bunged in an Asus Ageia PhysX Accelerator. Plus, the machine comes with two 150Gb Raptor 10000 16mb E-SATA disks as system drivers and a 750Gb Barracuda 7200.10 16mb Cache SATA II NCQ drive for storage.

You will also get a CDRW DVD Combo 52x32x52x16, Black Optical Drive and Pioneer 111DBK DVDRW Black. The sound card naturally comes from Creative labs 7.1 X-FI Extreme Music and it is all installed on Windows XP 64-bit.

Before I forget the machine is packed in Lian-Li V2100B Plus Black CASE with complex custom laser cut window and water-cooling - the LiquoCool Antarctic TX Extreme - enough to cool the CPU, chipset and both 8800 GTX cards. First US torrent conviction BitTorrent admin jailed for five months

ACCORDING TO TorrentFreak.com, a bit torrent site admin has been sent to prison for five months.

23 year old Grant Stanley was involved in private torrent tracker Elitetorrents. For his involvement with the website, he has received five months in prison, followed by five months of home detention and a $3,000 fine. Grant pleaded guilty earlier this year to "conspiracy to commit copyright infringement" and criminal copyright infringement.

US attorney John Brownlee said in response to the case: "We hope this case sends the message that cyberspace will not provide a shield of anonymity for those who choose to break our copyright laws."

Apparently this is the first torrent related conviction in the US and has happened under the FBI's Operation D-Elite, focusing specifically on Elitetorrents.

this post is follow of the steps of Basem's post , The Fedora Project is an openly-developed project designed by Red Hat, open for general participation, led by a meritocracy, following a set of project objectives. The goal of The Fedora Project is to work with the Linux community to build a complete, general purpose operating system exclusively from open source software. Development will be done in a public forum. The project will produce time-based releases of Fedora Core about 2-3 times a year, with a public release schedule. The Red Hat engineering team will continue to participate in building Fedora Core and will invite and encourage more outside participation than in past releases. By using this more open process, they hope to provide an operating system more in line with the ideals of free software and more appealing to the open source community.

BTW, don't forget it's FREE, that means you wont search for crack to activate your pirated copy of windows, you don't need to check if your copy is legal or not to update your version with latest updates, you don't need to pay any cent to install it on one machine or millions, if you need a help you find a lot of people to help ... it's open source power.

Fedora Core 6 is finally being pushed out the door with codenamed Zod, and is being released seven months after the much anticipated and well-deserved launch of Fedora Core 5. Yarrow, Tettnang, Heidelberg, Stentz, and Bordeaux were all exceptional or ground-breaking releases in one way or another, but what is new for Zod?
I am still downloading it, the DVD version comes with 3362MB to download, I will try it and write my own humble opinion.

in the last three nights, every time I tried to write new post an error page inform that the blogger is down for maintenance, is it my problem that I usually writes after midnight, I don't think so, in fact, I succeed in writing one post, and when I tried to publish another one-and after more than an hour of writing- simply an error page apologize "Down for Maintenance", really it's bad feeling and shame on you Blogger ... any way, wait me Wordpress.

The Mozilla Corporation have today uploaded the follow-up to their hugely popular web browser, Firefox. Despite not being featured on the Firefox homepage the files have all been uploaded to the Mozilla FTP site.
The Windows installer weighs in at 5568KB, and was uploaded at 0819GMT . As well as this both Mac and Linux versions have been added.

Firefox 2.0 brings a range of improvements over version 1.5, which are a sign that browser has grown up into a mature product that can look beyond its current 10% or so market share. The development team has kept the general appeal of the interface, but has fine-tuned many features that are visible to the user. For example, tabs are easier to manage: By default, Firefox now opens links in new tabs instead of new windows, and each tab carries a 'close tab' button.

There is also a history menu that keeps a list of recently closed tabs, and a shortcut lets users quickly re-open an accidentally closed tab, Additionally, the search field now suggests search terms, complete browsing sessions can be resumed, there are more ways to configure web feeds, a spell checker for online forms and live titles for web page,The perhaps most significant change is under the hood. Firefox 2 now comes with a built-in anti-phishing feature that warns users of websites that are suspected to imitate another one with the purpose to extract critical information. The feature can take a user to a search page to find the real Web site a user may be looking for. Other new features invisible to the user include support for JavaScript 1.7.

In version 2.0, toolbar buttons have been given a new, sleek design. Little else has been changed visually.

Useful for power outages or computer freezes, Firefox 2.0 allows users to bring back all open windows, tabs, and entered text when the application is closed unexpectedly.

Firefox 2.0 comes pre-installed with bookmarks of several sites with RSS feeds. Users can also add their own to the RSS list, which is controlled by a button directly below the navigation toolbar.

Direct searching from the toolbar, which was popular in older versions of Firefox, has been enhanced for 2.0, with dynamic search suggestions listed as users enter key words in the search box.

A BRAZILIAN web designer got tired of having to boot Windows to see how web pages looked in IE, so he coded a little script allowing anyone to download, install and run IE on Linux.

What is the target public?
* WebDesigners that want to move to Linux but still need to test their sites on IE.
* People who have to open IE-only sites

Six years ago, if you dared to ask how to run IE on Linux, you'd get replies like this one, telling you 'petition Microsoft for one' -and wait until Hell freezes over, I'd add. Well, one realistic person named Sérgio Lopes, a 21 years old web designer and Linux user from Brazil, decided to make it easy for non-techies to install and run the Windows version of the Vole's web browser effortlessly.

That's how 'IEs4Linux' was born, a script that 'automagically' downloads and installs not one but the last three release versions of Internet Explorer -6.0, 5.5 SP2, and 5.0- on any 32-bit linux desktop with the wine core libraries in place. The installer program by Lopes -released under a GPL licence- relies on 'wine' and a third party utility dubbed 'cabextract' to decompress the windows archives downloaded from Microsoft's site. The IEs4Linux program is at version 2.0 after a long beta testing period that spanned from April to August.

How about the legal stuff?

IEs4Linux is free software, open source, covered by GPL. But IE is proprietary, copyrighted, and you have to accept their license.

Note that to install any MS program included on IEs4Linux, you need a valid Windows license. IEs4Linux will not ask for it and you can run everything without any problem even if you don't have a license. But it is illegal and a I have not to do with this.

And you should accept Adobe Flash EULA too.

Israel accused over ‘war crimes’

Amnesty International has accused Israel of committing war crimes by deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure in Lebanon.

The human rights group says attacks on homes, bridges, roads and water and fuel plants were an “integral part” of Israel’s strategy in the recent war.

The group also calls for a UN investigation into whether both Israel and Hezbollah broke humanitarian law.

Israel said it did not deliberately target Lebanon’s civilian population.

In a report released on Wednesday, Amnesty International bases its accusations on an examination of Israeli attacks and comments made by Israeli officials during the 34-day conflict with the militant group Hezbollah.

although I came to Syria to relax and tourism, So, its not blogging time but I get in internet cafe here ecause I have recieved SMS to check my email, but before I start blogging I wanna told every body my disaster that you are not to allowed to view or open most website in legal way that you usually open it like Hotmail , Yahoo! , messengers ...etc :(

finally the vacation started, although it was started 2 months ago because am not registered for summer semister, but I was so busy with some new work, visitors ...etc

I reached syria yesterday @ night with my family with trip ramains for 10 hours, it was so easy and the road was so beautiful with no problems b boards, it's a little hot here more than amman. any way I get disappointed now bacuse nothing open here ( I think they didn't blocked Blogger bacuse they don't know what is Blog, Blogging...etc :) so its categorized in their prevent DB ) I write this post and go back to continue my vacation.

No One Trusts a Blogger - Survey

FOR SOME STRANGE reason, the great unwashed masses trust what they see on the telly more than what they read on the Interweb.

But the web is catching up in terms of credibility, a survey suggests.

Still, in most places the media is regarded as more trustworthy than the local government, except in the US and Britain that is.

Overall, 61 percent of those questioned reckoned the media to be more trustworthy than government. Some 52 percent were more likely to trust their governments. But in the US, 67 percent put more trust in government propaganda against 59 percent who prefer to beleive what the papers say. Some 51 percent of Britons think the Government more trustworthy than the media (47%).

Reuters, the BBC and the Media Center got pollsters GlobeScan to question over 10,000 adults in 10 countries about how they consume their daily slice of media output.

Some 82 percent said they trusted national TV output the most. Seventy-five percent reckoned national or regional newspaper were pretty trustworthy.

The telly was seen as the most 'important' news source (56%) followed by newspapers (21%), the Internet (9%) and radio (9%).

Fifty-five perent of Americans claimed to find the Interent the most trustworthy place to find news. Mind you, 11 percent said they rated Fox News as the most tustyworthy news sauce on the planet.

Only 23 percent of those asked confessed to believing the blathering of bloggers, although nearly half didn't have a clue.

100 percent of those I asked said they always trusted what they read on Opairah's Blog. :)

uBrowser is a simple Web Browser that illustrates one way of embedding the Mozilla® Gecko rendering engine into a standalone application using LibXUL. In this case, the contents of the page is grabbed as it's being rendered and displayed as a texture on some geometry using OpenGL™. You are able to interact with the page (mostly) normally and visit (almost) any site that works correctly with Firefox® 1.5.

Its purpose is to provide a test bed and a proof of concept for the software . By releasing the source code they hoping that others can benefit from what they've learnt as well as help fix bugs and identify areas for improvement. It is not meant as a replacement for your regular 2D browser.

The GTA-style, anti-hero genre may be getting very flooded with run-of-the-mill games, but that hasn’t stopped EA from throwing their hat into the ring to hop on this cash-cow. Not only that, but they’ve done so with a vengeance by snapping up the mother of all licenses, The Godfather. Thankfully, The Godfather plays out not so much as a GTA-clone, but rather a fairly deep and engrossing GTA-style adventure with several possible ways to play the game. While not without some pretty glaring flaws, The Godfather is a good game that stays pretty loyal to its high profile license.

In the game, you don’t play as any existing character from the movies or the book. Instead, the Godfather puts you in the role of a small-time criminal who gets hooked up early on with the infamous Corleone family, headed by Don Vito Corleone. You begin by creating your character, via a robust character creation mode. This mode is similar to the one that EA recently implemented in their Tiger Woods games, allowing you to edit your character however you see fit.

You run the gamut of missions of the game in the name of the Corleones, starting out by taking a cut of businesses and performing smaller operations and eventually taking on higher-profile missions and gaining more respect within the family and even potentially heading up the Corleones’ New York end of operations if you do well enough. The missions that you perform coincide with events that took place in the film. For example, early on during the tutorial portion of the game, you are training with Luca Brasi when he gets killed, not to mention that you’re the one who puts the famous horse head in the bed, nice touches that give you the feeling that your really experiencing the events in the film, even if your character is created exclusively for the game.

The game is very open-ended, allowing you to complete much of the game as you see fit. You can be as diplomatic as you want to be, running your businesses by buying off people and being generally non-violent or you can utilize the “Blackhand”, and taking your power and control by force. You have a fair amount of resources for defeating enemies, ranging from all-out brawling to weaponry like Tommy Guns, Pistols and Molotov Cocktails. You have a lot of moves to utilize when you are trying to take someone out with your hands, and you can use the environment as well. In fact, when extorting a business, sometimes you can use things in their shop or place of business against them to “will” them into doing what you want, similar to the torture system used in The Punisher last year.

The 1940’s New York City presented in the game is very well done. The game space is very big and has a very detailed and authentic look. The entire place is very active, with lots of activity, from people talking on the streets to business, both legit and non.

However, the game does fall prey to some pretty nasty flaws. For starters, the PC has some very awkward controls. The game demands a dual-analog gamepad of sorts; otherwise you’ll be left stabbing away at the keyboard and pushing your mouse around in order to perform basic moves like punching faces and throwing people against walls.

The gunplay in The Godfather is simple but effective. You can lock on to enemies with the press of a button, and you can duck or back up against a wall for cover. If you want, you can switch to free aim mode, which controls a lot like your standard first-person shooter, where one stick controls your movement and the other controls your aim. The guns in the game range from a .38 special revolver to a tommy gun to a snub-nosed shotgun. There's also a variety of other weapons, including Molotov cocktails, sticks of dynamite, and lead pipes. All of the guns can be upgraded two times at back-alley arms dealers. You can carry all of these weapons at the same time, too, effectively turning you into a one-mobster army. There are several scripted execution moves as well, and you're rewarded for your brutality in the form of respect.

The AI can also be quite problematic at times. While it’s not exactly dumb generally, it does do some buggy things, as there are some instances of enemies just stopping dead in their tracks and waiting for you to shoot them.Graphically, the game looks fairly nice. The principal characters all have their official likenesses with the exception of Michael Corleone, originally played by Al Pacino. However, while the main characters look very realistic, everyone else has a very generic look and the environments are pretty drab, and look plain.
The sound is very good. Much of the original cast members returned to do some voice work on the game, and the results are great. Even The Godfather himself, Marlon Brando, worked with EA shortly before his death on recording some new dialogue just for the game. The immortal Godfather theme song is also present, a nice touch for fans of the films.

You might as well get used to it though, because you'll die often in The Godfather. Some of the missions are quite difficult, usually because you have to face dozens of mobsters all by yourself. It also doesn't help that a single round from a shotgun can take you down in an instant. You can find health tonics from time to time, but you'll need to take cover and plan your attack wisely if you want to live.

If you prefer to get your hands dirty, you can simply beat the life out of anyone you encounter. You lock on with one button, and then use the right analog stick or mouse to throw punches, slam opponents into walls, or even toss them off rooftops. You can also strangle your enemies and perform neck-breaking execution moves.

Gameplay: 8.0
The Godfather has some great gameplay elements, and stands as an engaging open-ended game. However, the game does have flaws, like awkward PC controls and some spotty AI.

Graphics: 7.5
Graphically, the game is a bit of a mixed bag, with some very impressive main characters sporting the official likenesses of the original actors (with the glaring exception of Michael). However, the rest of the characters look pretty plain, and the environments lack a lot of graphical detail.
Sound: 9.0
The voice acting is spot on, featuring many of the original actors from the films. The Godfather theme song is also a great touch.
Difficulty: Medium
Concept: 8.5
While the gameplay may have some problems, EA certainly cut no corners while making this game an authentic Godfather experience.
Overall: 8.0
The Godfather is a good game that keeps incredibly true to its license. While the gameplay might have some issues, the game stands as a compelling game that fans of the films should check out.

How to (and not to) work with a Designer Part 00

As beginner Web-Developer I tried to take an overview of this branch in IT, as a developer may I not concentrate my efforts to enhance style or aspect as code strength ( secure, speed,scalability ...etc ) my first post about this subject I decide to be about the designer because I have a bad experience recently to find a good designer, BTW, every thing going well now (at least I hope that ) .

A good Developer without Expert Designer or a good skills may equal nothing since "No one can lives for ever" to get every knowledge and the rapid evolution of thechnology make the developer usually keep running to keep in touch, as they said "Change is the only constant in this life" if he was really GOOD, BTW, I wont talk about design appearance here ( may later) but always remeber that first impression is last .
I think when I wrote about this subject that I affected by Leadership, Management, ... courses and workshops I took , So, if you felt something like that please never mind :)

Imagine that you’re Christopher Columbus.

You arrive in the New World and are so disappointed there are none of the oriental silks and spices you came looking for then you turn around and go home, missing all the wonders of the New World .
That’s what happens when you have preconceived notions about design ( this point teach it usually in negotiation issues to not get the result before start), you shouldnt have a result before start. You can end up with something that’s better, but NOT SEE or APPRECIATE IT because you’re only focusing on the fact that it’s not what you had in mind . Preconceived notions are just one of the mistakes people make when they work with a designer (or even with other people ). A good designer’s work will make something:

Work better.
Sell better.
Shed new light on old subjects.
Look better.

The trouble is, a lot of people hire designers because they want their site, work, or their marketing plans to “look good.” But that’s just scratching the surface of what a designer can and should do ( typical ",). So they don’t know what’s possible, so they don’t get the most bang for their buck. :) The Idea that writers are not just people who can type, designers are not just people who can use graphics programs because any body can do that (Designers need " Fan-A5l2-Zo2 " :S ). Good Design is more than skin deep ( A good designer is never without a pencil ). The way to inspire a designer is to give them the message and mterial or data and feeling you want to convey, and the freedom to convey it in a fresh, new way. So how do you work with a designer to get their best work?

Here are some suggestions (IMHO) if you have more you can kindly add it here please:

Choose your designer carefully. Look at their previous work. The best designers don’t have a “signature look. or ISO standards” Their sites and works look as different as their clients do. Awards and Certificates don’t necessarily mean the design worked good for the client. If you’re not sure about a design, go to sites they designed and ask their clients as last resort.

Leave your preconceived notions at the door. Don’t ask for a site like someone else’s but in a different color. Be open to new (Be You) :p , unexpected ideas. Don’t be afraid of something different. Let new ideas sink in.

Tell your designer what you want to say rather than how you want it to look. Don’t ask for a color, shape, or style -- ask for meaning or emotion.

Be clear about specific features you need. You want your designer to create a design specific to your needs. If you try to add features as you go along, the design won’t fit as well.

Do your research and be specific about your needs. “I need to sell meeting planners on the idea of hiring me to plan entertainment for their events.” That’s clear and specific about both the product and the audience. (remeber that every thing is written) The more detailed and specific you are at the start, the better the designer can tailor the site or the work to your needs. If you add requirements later on, the designer will probably just have to shoe-horn them in, which may won’t give you the best results.

Make sure your message and content are clear. The more of your content you have complete, the better the designer can build your work around it. A good designer may make suggestions to refine your content to get your message across faster or more clearly, but the more content you have complete, the more the designer will have to work with.
Design for your customers, not yourself, your friends or your colleagues. Be specific so your. designer knows who your customers are and what they want. It’s more important that they like your site than that you like it. Always remember, “What’s in it for them.”

Researchers at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, are exploring the possibility of a biometric security device that will use a person's thoughts to authenticate her or his identity.

Their idea of utilizing brain-wave signatures as "pass-thoughts" is based on the premise thatbrain waves are unique to each individual. Even when thinking of the same thing, the brain's measurable electrical impulses vary slightly from person to person. Some researchers believe the difference might just be enough to create a system that allows you to log in with your thoughts.

Israel launches "Eye in the Sky" over Iran

Although I dont know how to speak in politics issues, even I hate to do that usually, but there is some cases you can`t control yourself, your hand starts typing without thinking or stopping and that what happend now.

Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said this week that the nuclear program being pursued by arch-foe Iran was the most serious threat faced by Jews since the Nazi Holocaust.

"The launching of the satellite was successful," an official with the manufacturer ImageSat International said.

It would be established whether the satellite was operational in the coming days, Israeli media reported. The launching took place in the Russian Far East.

P.S: If we make a small comparison between these two countries a huge location like Iran still import weapons and ammunition from foreign power countries, VS. a small location like Israel have many factories for weapons and so on and even it export to another countries and it now lounchs a satellite specially for monitoring Iran :( ,any way am not defense or attack any one. the Problem that unlike all ISPs in Jordan or in the World as I think the IP address changed frequently may be three times a day, My IP changed during the last four months once from Egypt location to this new one in Mauritius. here lies the problem its semi static IP. if you use P2P networks without stopping like me you will feel the disaster to have some thing like this when your router status changed to DOWN suddenly and you have to reboot it to work again. :(

Women play more Games than Men

A STUDY compiled by the eBrain consumer research group has come out with the surprising conclusion that women play more video games than men.

The study, which can be seen here if you have a spare $500, is based on a sample provided by CNET’s GameSpot panel.

According to the study, more than 65 percent of women between the ages of 25 and 34 play video games. In comparison, only 35 percent of men in the same age range bother.

This is because women play online games found on portals such as Pogo.com, MSN.com, and Yahoo.com. Most of them are unlikely to pop down the shops or BAS6AT and buy a boxed version of Counterstrike or indulge in after-office-hours or what ever shoot-em-ups.

Apparently, the only company which has managed to snag both genders is Electronic Arts with its Pongo.com subsidiary. But more than three quarters of Pongi.com's players are women.

BTW,it Depends on what you call video games.

ATI likes to invest and play with Video, and this time around it introduced a new driver that can play a better video. It concentrated its efforts on the standard definition (SD) format that everyone watches these days. High definition (HD) is where the hype is but it is still not that well adopted, especially here in Jordan.

ATI also introduced Windows Media Center Edition Video Conversion Utility, a tool that allows you to convert available video content. You can convert between MPEG-2, MPEG-4 SP, MPEG-4 AVC and Windows Media while Ipod Video and PSP video are listed as separate formats for easy recognition.

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
This letter is from Abu Reb7ee from Tafeeleh.
We have bought a computer for our home and we found problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

After connecting to internet we planned to open an e-mail account and whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only ****** appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but we face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware vendor Abu Saleh and he said that there is no problem in keyboard. Because of this we open the e-mail account with password *****. I request you to check this, as we ourselves do not know what the password is.

We are unable to enter anything after we click the shut down button.

There is a button 'start' but there is no stop button. We request you to check this.

We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friend clicked 'run' and he has ran up to Amman! So, we request you to change that to 'sit' so that we can click that by sitting.

One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.

Also there is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this 'find', but unable to trace. Is it a bug??

While you were sleeping; Google mistakenly deleted their own blog; someone else registered the same blogspot subdomain and had ownership for a few hours; Google realized their mistake; now all is well. :-)

Back in April 2004, Google launched their blog at googleblog.blogspot.com. But somehow, in the past few days, that blog has been completely deleted from the Blogger servers, and users are instead seeing a "Not Found. The requested URL was not found on this server. Please visit the Blogger homepage or the Blogger Knowledge Base for further assistance."

Now, it seems, Google can't keep its official blog secure. Late Monday, the search giant's official blog on Blogger.com (which Google also owns), was apparently defaced by someone purporting to be Trey Philips.

Philips, whose profile on the site described him as a neuroscience major at the University of Texas, implored the search giant, "Google, fix your blog pleeasssee! <3">

He gave a vague description of how he took control of the blog, as well as an explanation for why he did it.

It took a couple of hours, but the Google Blog is back up and running with all the original entries, and the "Google, fix your blog pleeasssee" entry is now gone.

Google has also followed up on their own blog entry stating that they mistakenly deleted their own blog and that it was not hacked nor was their password guessed by anyone.

Let’s just say it had something to do with their lovely rival Microsoft. :)

حذر خبراء من ان فيروسات الكمبيوتر قد تطور القدرة على الانتقال عبر شفرات البار كود، كتلك التي تستخدم لتخزين بيانات السلع.

وقام فريق من الباحثين في امن الشبكات الحاسوبية بنقل فيروس كمبيوتر الى احدى هذه الشفرات، ليبرهنوا على انها معرضة لخطر القرصنة.

ويقول الباحثون ان هذه الشفرات قد تستغل لشن هجمات على انظمة حاسوبية، ويعتبرون هذا التطور طفرة كبيرة في هذا المجال.

وقال اندرو تاننباوم، وهو من اعضاء الفريق التابع للجامعة الحرة بامستردام، ان التجربة انجزت بهدف توعية الناس بهذا الخطر المحدق، ودعا الشركات الى التفكير في الامر بجدية عند تصميم منتجاتها.

وهناك نوع من الشفرات اكثر تعرضا لخطر القرصنة من الشفرات التقليدية المكونة من اعمدة وارقام، وهو ما يسمى شفرات الراديو أو الشفرات الذكية، وهي ذاكرة رقمية صغيرة مرتبطة بمعالج صغير وجهاز بث والتقاط. ولذا سميت شفرات الراديو.

ويعرف هذا النوع الجديد من الشفرات اقبالا كبيرا لانه يمكن الشركات من تتبع سلعها مهما تفرقت بين المخازن والفروع.

وما زال هذا النوع من الشفرات قليل الانتشار بسبب سعرها المرتفع، لكن الخبراء يتوقعون ان تعرف انتشارا كبيرا مع انخفاض كلفة تصنيعها في المستقبل.

ويقول الفريق ان هذه الثغرة قد يستغلها الناشطون البيئيون وغيرهم لخلق المشاكل للشركات التي يستهدفونها مثلا.

كما يحذرون من ان يهاجم القراصنة انظمة الكمبيوتر عبر شفرات الراديو التي تثبث على الحيوانات الاليفة ليسهل التعرف على اصحابها.

after 1 week exactly posting a comment about Motorola RAZR V3 ,today suddenly when I tried to call my friend the phone reboot I tried AGAIN same thing , last try the phone get exhausted then My Mobile decide to Retired or Suicide I dont know exactly till now, tomorrow I`ll check Cutomer Care Center. the first diagnoses said its Suicide :(.

My SX1 ( before it get its last abode )

I dont know too if its a SIN(56ayyet) for someone or not , all I know If it Retired or Suicide I`ll buy a New one like it coz I love it too much coz it satisfy all my requirements as a mobile phone Siemens should name it All-in-One not SX1.

First time I see it was in 1999 when I was reading an article said that siemens start develop a smart colored phone has no shortage of features with camera and radio and mp3 player ... etc

Qais ( Technical Support Manager in TTC ) was promised me if I get an excellent grade in Tawjihi he will buy one for me (more than 650$ that days)

the most important thing thing that you dont need for any tools except the data cable to do any thing the mobile , you can download a new firmware at your home without any Flasher or whatever else, you need to follow up the instrucions; thats all.

VIRTUAL WORLD Second Life has been adapted for Linux.

Linden Lab, creator of Second Life, recently has released a free public test of the Linux client. It has the same features and interface as the Windows and Mac OS X versions.

Second life is different from most online worlds in that it is not a game as such. Players can enter the world, interact with others and build any three dimensional object and decide what it will do.

Most of the players send their time creating objects for other residents and Linden Labs makes its money by having online property taxes.

الامم المتحدة تشير الى عقبات في وصولهن الى مواقع القيادة

احيا ناشطون يوم المرأة العالمي الاربعاء وسط تعهدات بمحاربة العنف الجنسي والتفرقة بين الرجل والمرأة في آسيا فيما لا تزال الولايات المتحدة تخوض جدلا عاما حول حقوق الاجهاض في وقت كشف تقرير للامم المتحدة ان النساء يحققن تقدما ضعيفا في انحاء العالم في الوصول الى مواقع القيادة في الاعمال والحكومة والمناصب الاكاديمية.

ورغم تنظيم مسيرات ونقاشات في دول لا تزال تناضل من اجل المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة، تمر هذه المناسبة بدون اهتمام كبير في دول حققت فيها النساء مكاسب في مجالات السياسة والاعمال.

ففي افغانستان التي لا تزال تسعى لاعادة الامور الى طبيعتها في البلاد بعد سنوات من الحرب الاهلية يعتزم ناشطون اطلاق مشروع لتحديد مدى العنف الذي يمارس بحق النساء.

وفي اندونيسيا تزامن يوم المرأة مع دراسة نشرت وتظهر ان حالات العنف بحق النساء ارتفعت بنسبة 45% السنة الماضية كما افادت صحيفة "جاكرتا بوست".

وفي الولايات المتحدة يحتدم الجدل حول حقوق الاجهاض بعد يومين من اطلاق حاكم داكوتا الجنوبية اجراء قضائيا يمكن ان ينقض حكما تاريخيا اصدرته المحكمة العليا عام 1973 وسمح بحق الاجهاض. واثار هذا القرار غضب المجموعات المؤيدة لحق الاجهاض التي تعهدت باستخدام كل الوسائل القانونية المتاحة لوقف تغيير القانون.

وفي الصين حيث لا يزال الرجال يهيمنون على الساحة السياسية رغم قوانين تهدف الى زيادة عدة النساء في الحكومة فان النساء اخذن نصف يوم عطلة.

واستفادت كوريا الشمالية من هذه الفرصة لحث النساء على دعم الديكتاتور كيم جونغ ايل عبر انجاب مزيد من الاولاد.

وكتبت رودونغ سينمون الصحيفة الناطقة باسم الحزب الشيوعي ان "النساء يجب ان ينجبن عدة اولاد وتربيتهم ليصبحوا رجالا ونساء يتمتعون بحس المسؤولية لكي يدعموا الامة".

في تونس، دعا الرئيس زين العابدين بن علي المرأة التونسية الى ان "تبقى حصنا حصينا ضد نزعات الغلو والتطرف والرجعية".

وكان تقرير للامم المتحدة صدر الثلاثاء انه رغم انتخاب نساء في الاونة الاخيرة رؤساء دول وحكومات في شيلي وليبيريا والمانيا فان النساء يحققن تقدما ضعيفا في انحاء العالم في الوصول الى مواقع القيادة في الاعمال والحكومة والمناصب الاكاديمية.

وقال التقرير الذي اعده الامين العام للامم المتحدة كوفي عنان انه "مازالت عقبات خطيرة تعوق المشاركة الفعالة للمرأة."

وتولت انجيلا ميركل منصب المستشار في المانيا في تشرين الثاني (نوفمبر) بينما تم تنصيب ايلين جونسون سيرليف رئيسة لجمهورية ليبيريا في (يناير) كانون الثاني. ومن المقرر ان تؤدي ميشيل باتشيليت اليمين رئيسة لشيلي السبت المقبل .

وقالت راشيل مايانجا المستشار الخاص للامم المتحدة بشأن تقدم المرأة "وراء هذا التقدم يمكننا ان نرى ان الامر يستغرق وقتا للاستعداد ويستغرق وقتا لكي يتوفر مثل هذا الوعي والانفتاح في مجتمع ما على المستوى السياسي."

وقال تقرير عنان ان من بين العقبات التي تواجهها المرأة ضعف نسبة تمثيلها في مجالات يهيمن عليها الرجل مثل الجيش والشؤون الخارجية واستمرار المواقف النمطية والسلوكيات نحو المرأة.

وحذرت مفوضة التمييز بين الرجل والمرأة في استراليا برو غوارد من انه اذا لم تبذل الحكومة جهودا اضافية لمساعدة النساء على الجمع بين متطلبات المهنة والعائلة فان الاقتصاد سيتأثر.

احتفل آل شنبو الخميس بتخرج ابنهم البكر "وحيد شنبو" من تخصص الصيدلة من جامعة عمان الأهلية بمعدل جيد جدا ليصبح حاملا للقب الدكتور الصيدلاني

وقد ذهبنا لحضور الحفلة التي أقيمت في جامعة عمان على الرغم من زخات الخير والمطر والبرد وقد حضر الحفلة ما يزيد عن 60 شخصا من أصدقاءه وأصدقاء العائلة الذين تابعوا معنا في الطريق ثم أكملناها في بيتهم حتى المساء بجهد وأصوات الشباب ومن الجدير بالذكر أن وحيد وعبود من ذوي الأصوات الجميلة جدا ومن أجمل الأيام التي قضيناها سوية كانت في جولة سوريا حيث قضينا يومين في إحدى قرى مدينة إدلب ( تدعى تفتناز) وحضرنا حفلة زفاف سوية استمرت حتى الفجر انهكنا منها كانت أيام لا تنسى ( تشتهر مدينة إدلب بالتين والتفاح ) - وها نحن نجتمع مرة أخرى في جامعة عمان

the problem I was faced with Google Jordan that my leased WAN IP address I got it from my ISP (TEData) is located in Egypt , there IP`s range is bought for Egypt thats all , and every time I google for something in Jordan I`ve to go google.jo manually today I opened Google from my bookmark toolbar I surprised that the browser redirect me automatically to Google Egypt

this problem confused me, every time I open site related to local thing like news, weather, companies, ... etc all things changed to fit Egypt ("Welcome in Cairo")

After more than seven years of waiting he finally got the Visa to Canada for Immigration, yes, He one of my best friends and before all that he is My TEACHER.

He was always the adviser for me and for a lot of people he was love this way of work … I still remember when I plugged my first Network cable, it took more than an hour to done it, in that day I plugged more than 400 UTP Cable which mean more than 900 RJs 45 (with the failed RJs)

First Mac OS X Virus? Apple Says No

Loyalists on both sides of the Mac versus Windows debate shot into action Thursday following news that the first virus had been spotted for Apple's operating system. The malware, dubbed Leap.A, spreads through iChat and infects local applications. But Apple downplayed the threat, saying malicious software is different from a virus.

According to security firm F-Secure, Leap.A is simply a standard executable compiled for Mac OS X. It is distributed as an archive called latestpics.tgz. "First it drops an icon resource and an external hook bundle which is used for spreading through iChat," the company said in an advisory.

Once Leap.A is activated, when any iChat user changes his or her status, the worm initiates a file transfer for the latestpics.tgz archive. The file transfer takes place in the background and is hidden from the user.

In addition, the malware replaces all applications that have been used in the last month with itself, saving the original executable as a resource fork with the same filename. According to F-Secure, "When the application is opened the worm activates first, then it runs the original application from the resource fork."

Leap.A first cropped up on a MacRumors forum, purportedly as a screenshot of Mac OS X 10.5, code-named Leopard. Security vendors including McAfee and Symantec have labeled the file a "low-level threat" and experts have largely characterized it as an example of potential risks Mac OS X users face.
In a statement, Apple disputed that Leap.A was a virus, calling it "malicious software that requires a user to download the application and execute the resulting file."

"Apple always advises Macintosh users to only accept files from vendors and Web sites that they know and trust. We have a guide to safely handling files received from the Internet," the company said

Still, virus or not, Leap.A has sparked discussion about whether Apple's UNIX based operating system will prove as vulnerable as Windows. Security has become a top focus of Microsoft over the past two years, and Windows Vista is slated to bring a number of enhancements to protect users. Mac users have largely been spared of such troubles, but that could change, analysts say.

"I've seen blogs and news sites suggesting that the so-called iPod effect is increasing Mac sales, putting more Macs in use and making Apple's operating system a bigger target. I don't believe it," commented Jupiter Research senior analyst Joe Wilcox. "There are 42 million-plus sold. Anyone see a viable, mass iPod virus?"

However, Wilcox notes that Apple's move to the Intel platform could also bring the first big security problems. "The volume of hackers sure does appear to be greatest on computers running Intel or AMD processors. Now, alongside Windows and Linux, those hackers can run Mac OS X."

Adds Wilcox: "My concern: Of the nearly two dozen people I know with Macs at home, I'm the only one using antivirus software. When trouble comes, many Mac users won't be prepared."

AMD's Socket AM2 to support DDR2 800 MHZ

WE ALL expected that AMD planned to support DDR 2 400, 533 and 667 but very few of us expected that the firm plans to include DDR 2 800 MHz on its list. Before February, the plan was to support all memories up to DDR 667 but AMD eventually decided that it can and will support DDR 2 800 MHz from the outset. Now the migration to DDR 2 finally makes sense, as DDR 2 800 MHz can sure show sume difference compared with DDR 1 400 or even DDR 1 overclocked to 667.

It will simply offer more bandwidth and knowing that AMD places its memory controllers on the CPU it also means that it will show a bigger difference than Intel's DDR 2 capable chipsets.

The upcoming move to AMD Athlon64 AM2 will introduce a new Socket 940 design. The new Socket is very close in design to the current 940 design used on Opteron motherboards. It appears the pin-outs have been changed just enough to prevent the new AM2 processors from accidentally being plugged into older Socket 940 boards.

Memory manufactures are thrilled as they will benefit the most. They will sell more DDR 2 800 than they ever imagined and the high end market along with mainstream will go toward the fast adoption of this fast memory.

AMD advises its partners to get some DDR 2 800 memory and to include it in DVT testing. It wants to be ready for all of the modules out there. DDR 2 also operates at a lower power level and it will indeed offer greater bandwidth. AMD thinks that the time is right for DDR 2. The desired speeds are there, it is available and the cost is just a little bit higher than DDR one. So there.

Silicon Integrated Systems (SIS) said that it will have a complete line of chipsets which will support AMD's up-and-coming AM2 chips

It will offer two new chipsets for desktops - the 756 and the 761GX, and four for notebooks including the 761GX and the 760GX.

SIS said AM2 will "fully replace" AMD socket 939 and 754 and will be available in Q2 of this year, supporting DDR2, and dual channel memory

اليوم هو أول يوم من أيام الفصل الدراسي الثاني في الجامعة وغدا سيكون سنذهب لنخوض المعارك المتوقعة بداية كل فصل من سحب وإضافة ودفع الرسوم والدكاترة المتنحين والعلامات اللي بتجنن ودكتور مبلش تدريس من أول يوم ما بيحسب حساب الطلاب بدهم يرتاحوا شوي .

مهلاً ، لست من المهووسين بالجامعة الذين لا يطيقون فراقها ، ولكن لا ادري ما الذي يحصل فيها اليوم ، نشاط زائد عن الحد لكل الطلاب والمدرسين ، و إستنفار غير طبيعي ، كلهم يتحدثون ، كلهم يتنقلون من مكتب الى أخر بين رئيس قسم ودكتور ومسجل مادة يظن نفسه رئيس مؤتمر صحفي لا يطيق أن ينظر إلى شكلك ، مَن نلوم مين المسؤول عن إعصار بداية كل فصل ( نحن ، المدرسين ، الجامعة وووإلخ )

ولكن لماذا تنفذ الأعمال في اللحظة الأخيرة فقط؟! يقولون من يزرع الريح يحصد الإعصار
